Group Fitness Classes

Enhance Fitness is a senior exercise program that helps older adults at all levels of fitness become more active and empowered to sustain independent lives. The 1 hour class includes flexibility training, balance exercises, strength training and aerobic activity.

Silver Sneakers

Silver Sneakers is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+. Similar to Enhance Fitness, it is appropriate and effective for seniors within a wide range of physical strength and ability.

Both Enhance Fitness and Silver Sneakers classes use exercise to:

  • increase strength.
  • improve flexibility and balance.
  • boost activity levels.
  • helps decrease falls and improve daily functioning.


Participants range from the frail to the more fit adult. There are also opportunities for participants to make new friends and acquaintances.


The group fitness classes are held at the Vintage Center for Active Adults on Highland Avenue, in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Participants of these classes will be required to have a current membership
